Sirius
Card Target Information:

Sirius is the star that the soul of the Pharaohs was to ascend to. The Pyramids were built using the road map of the stars of Orion, which Sirius is close to. Find the three stars of Orion’s belt and see Sirius, the brightest star nearby to the left.

Canopus
Card Target Information:

Canopus is the only star to rival Sirius in brightness and is said to have guided King Menelaus and the Greeks home from the Trojan war. They saw it drifting just above the horizon in the Mediterranean like a beacon signalling the way home. The star is used by NASA today to navigate deep space probes that explore our solar system.

Acrux is the brightest star of one of the smallest constellations, but also one of the most brilliant and most famous, The Southern Cross.

Acrux is actually two blue giant stars that orbit each other at a distance of 80 billion kilometres.

Alpha Centauri has long been the star used by science fiction writers to describe interstellar travel and alien civilizations. From TV series to movies and video games, Alpha Centauri’s claim as the third brightest star and the closet star visible to the naked eye, make it known by people throughout the world.

The orange giant star Antliae is the brightest star in the obscure constellation of Antlia, the air pump. During his visit to the Cape of Good Hope in 1751, French Astronomer Abbe Nicolas Louis de Lacaille first drew Antlia constellation on his star map, which was published in 1752.
